We can take care of just about any repair you need, but here are prices on some of our most common services:
Complete Tune-Up
The greatest bike in the world isn’t worth a good poo if it doesn’t get a tune up once in a while. That’s why regular maintenance by a trained bike mechanic is so critical, for every bike. It can make the difference between a great day on the trail, or a frustrating pit stop on the side of the road.
Fortunately for you, Matthew’s employs the best bicycle mechanics in the business. But when you have a passion for bicycles, that’s what you do.
We offer several levels of service, from minor tune ups to complete overhauls. And if your not sure what you need, we’ll help you figure it out. But as a general rule, road and tandem bikes need tune-ups twice a year. Mountain bikes need more frequent attention because they endure extra wear and tear.
Basic tune-up – This includes a full visual inspection and all necessary adjustments of the drive train, cables, brake pads and tires. We’ll also inspect and adjust your drop out alignment, derailleur hanger alignment, front and rear hubs, bottom bracket, headset, wheels, and derailleurs. Then we top it off with a complete lubrication.

Complete Overhaul
This is the big guy. The tear-it-down-and-start-over-again approach. It’s not the sort of thing you want to have done every weekend. But when the time comes, you definitely want the folks at Matthews doing the work.
We dissasamble the bike down to it’s frame and steam clean it. We scrub and inspect every last component of your ride and hand-wax the frame. We then replace your bearings and begin to reassemble your bike. Along the way, we’ll let you know if you need anything new.
And because we want to make sure everything is just right (and because we’re so proud of our work that we’d like to see it again) we’ll throw in a free 100 mile follow-up, just to make sure all is well with your overhauled bicycle.

Drive Train Clean
Over time, chains stretch. Bits of dirt and moisture find their way into the inner workings of your drive train. So we offer a complete drive train cleaning service.
This service can be added to your tune-up, or performed without any other service. We’ll completely remove remover your crankset, chain, cassette, front and rear derailleur. We then clean them thoroughly and reinstall them with fresh lubrication.

Wheel Truing
Most people don’t like truing their own wheels. Even if they have the equipment. Why? It’s a pain in the keister. But our mechanics get all giddy about. Why? Because their cycling fanatics.
We’ll check your spokes, braking surface, rim eyelets, and tension. And we’ll have you spinning true n no time.

Custom Fitting
Ever wear pants that are a few sizes too small? Or maybe a pair of shoes that are way too big? Not very comfy, are they? Well the same applies to bikes. If your ride doesn’t fit you like a glove, you’re not going to enjoy being on it. And you’re definitely not getting maximum efficiency – which stinks. Sometimes a poor-fitting bicycle can be dangerous – which really stinks.
That’s why we offer custom fitting.
Our cycling professionals can make the most out of your cycling experience by custom fitting your bike. And they’ll do more than measure the length of your arms and legs. They’ll study your flexibility, strength, and fitness level. And once they’ve got you all sussed out, you’ll get a bike that fits like you were born on it – which is really cool.
We’ll give you the correct set up for racing, group riding, recreational riding, touring, or any style of riding you’ve got planned. And we’ll tend to every detail of your personalized fit, from seat position to cleat placement.
